Health Insurance Dispute Resolution Process

The reason this menu selection is here is that I get quite a few calls from people who PURCHASED their HEALTH INSURANCE without the help of an agent, (they didn't save any money) they now have a big problem and they call me.  If I cann't be of help, here is where  I tell them to go.   Navigating the dispute resolution process can be overwhelming.  There is some free help available.  Kaiser and Consumers Union have published state-specific guidelines on their web sites www.kff.org/consumerguide  and  www.ConsumersUnion.org/health/hmo-review ..  A Consumer Guide to Handling Disputes With Your Employer or Private Health Plan.(  2003 update)  includes sections that will help people understand their plans, rules and coverage, it's internal review process, the external review process in the states that have one and government rules for health plan reviews.

Nobody pays more money to have a Health Insurance agent, but you can pay more in aggravation and unpaid claims that should have been paid.  Good agents work for their clients-- WE DO.

HERE IS A MAGIC PHONE NUMBER FOR YOU:  1-877-FTC-HELP    This government agency will help and they get results
